Sentosa
Singapore's top attraction is actually a little pleasure isle to its south. Comb Sentosa's lush gardens and visit the museums, theme parks and oceanarium. Spend a fun-filled day by the beach, and as the sun sets, watch the laser show at the musical fountain, sip a cool drink at a beach pub or have a bite at one of the many eateries. Don't miss the Images of Singapore Museum, a showcase of Singapore's history and heritage, vividly depicted through audiovisual lifelike tableaux and animatronics.
NSS special: Complimentary ride to Sentosa on Singapore SBS Leisure Sentosa "E" Bus, admission to the island and Images of Singapore museum.
Singapore Zoological Gardens
Set in lush, tropical surroundings, this "open zoo" gives visitors a close-up view of more than 2,000 animals, separated only by rock walls and brooks. Among the inhabitants are several endangered species, including the zoo's famous orang utans, who even join guests for breakfast or afternoon tea (charges apply). Feeding times and animal shows feature reptiles, sea lions, polar bears, elephants and primates.
Night Safari
Share the nocturnal world of over 1,200 animals from 110 species in the world's first Night Safari, much closer than is usually possible in game reserves. Stroll along the walking trails or board a tram (extra charges apply) for a leisurely, 40-minute drive through various geographical regions such as the Asian riverine forest, Himalayan foothills and river valleys, African savanna and South American pampas.
Jurong BirdPark
Set in 20 hectares of lush greenery, Jurong BirdPark is home to 8,000 exotic birds from more than 600 species around the world. Here, stroll through the world's largest walk-in aviary, watch the magnificent Birds of Prey Show and be entertained by the talents of the All Star BirdShow. What's more, you may also have a feast while some of Singapore's finest singers serenade you at Breakfast With The Birds.
National Orchid Garden
Part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the National Orchid Garden has more than 60,000 orchid plants of 400 species and 2,000 hybrids. Highlights include the VIP (Very Important Plant) display named after visiting dignitaries, the Orchidarium where species collection are nurtured, a misthouse and a bromeliad collection of over 20,000 plants representing 800 types in the pineapple family.
